meet elise, the founder and creative director of tableau vivant. they have always had an obsession with beautiful events, which started when they first read their mother’s copies of “martha stewart: living” magazines, and quickly led to them decorating for family celebrations and making wildflower arrangements with flowers picked from the neighbouring park.
this obsession eventually led elise to pursue a post-graduate program in event design, as well as their certification with the wedding planners institute of canada.
nowadays, elise uses her experience in private household staffing, as well as her past in theatre and live action role play, to bring a fresh perspective on event design. highly meticulous, with a love for all things whimsical and nostalgic, elise brings a joyful level of artistry to every event.

meet alex, the in-house photographer at tableau vivant. their love for birds, nature, and visual arts led them to pick up their first camera over five years ago, and kickstarted a passion that’s been going strong ever since.
this passion has resulted in multiple awards, a rich career teaching photography throughout ontario, and a growing portfolio of event photography.
alex’s love for mastery and his dedication to excellence means he never stops until he’s achieved perfection, whether that means practicing and refining a new method, buying specialized gear, or learning a new software. alex brings a fresh perspective and a stellar grasp of the technique, resulting in unique and visually stunning results that leave clients raving.
